This is a placeholder page for PSUD3 which is under development as a total re-write of PSUD2. It is not available yet, however development is advanced and it will contain the following new features:
Big ticket items
- 64 bit power. PSUD2 is a 32 bit application only, PSUD3 will allow 64 or 32 bit installs depending on your hardware
- Docked form model - split charts, schemaitcs and results out as separate windows or line them up as tabs, your choice
- New simulation engine gives much more accurate results than the approximations used in PSUD. Goes a little slower but worth it
- Multiple charts - have a chart for voltages, another for current etc.
- Calculated traces allow the use of math functions on chart data
- Harmonic analysis show you the amount of ripple and harmonics present
- Monte Carlo simulation allows component values to be varied and the effects on aggregate functions (Min,Max,Diff,Avg,RMS) studied
More subtle changes
- Environment saving carries over the chart selections, colours etc. from session to session so you don't have to set them up every time
- Rectifiers are now in single files so it's easy to move them around and share them
- Better chart options to allow colours and linetypes to be selected at will
- Scalable graphics to allow the schematic to be zoomed in and out
- Cleaner help system which is easier to navigate too
Items above in bold are already developed, the others are work in progress |
